MUSIC MONDAY

Youth will explore hand drums in an upbeat, interactive setting that celebrates self-expression and creativity. With guidance from passionate instructors, participants will drum and sing their way through Hawaiian mele and global beats. Alongside music-making, they’ll learn the cultural roots of these instruments, connect through group jam sessions, and build confidence through collaborative performance and improvisation. Whether beginner or seasoned, every keiki leaves more in tune—with music, with each other, and with themselves.

Marine Tuesdays
In our Marine Science After-School Program, students explore the fascinating world of ocean life while developing a deeper appreciation for the environment. Through fun, hands-on activities, kids learn how to become ocean stewards—understanding the importance of protecting our oceans and the creatures that call them home.
Each session includes interactive educational games like Fish Bingo, Marine Jeopardy, and other creative activities with arts and crafts designed to make learning fun and engaging. These games help reinforce important science topics while encouraging teamwork, curiosity, and critical thinking.
Our goal is to inspire the next generation to care for the ocean by making science accessible, exciting, and meaningful. Students leave each session not only with new knowledge, but also with a stronger sense of responsibility for the world around them.

SUPERGROMS Wednesday
Wednesdays just got epic. SuperGrom Wednesdays are all about wave-riding, confidence-building, and ocean mastery. Designed for stoked young surfers and ocean explorers, each session offers expert-led training in surfing and ocean sports—from paddling technique to wave reading—at Ironwoods or the best mobile location based on conditions that day.

Led by experienced water safety instructors, this experience weaves in Hawaiian ocean knowledge, kuleana (responsibility), and respect for natural elements. From shallow tidepools to deeper open water, youth will gain the tools to stay calm, alert, and capable—while having a blast.
Thriving on an island means knowing how to move with the water, not against it.
